Bear River Farms locates between Deep Brook and Bear River. It has been practicing Biodynamic farming for over 10 years.
They are the only flour mill in Nova Scotia.
Along with other local suppliers, they provide high quality, safe and tasty food for us!

Due to the situation, we may experience:

Org. Cheese Available While Qty Lasts

Speerville Flour Mill started carrying organic cheese.
We are not sure how it works in our current distribution model, especially right now with the COVID-19 emergency runs, but will give a try.
Please be aware:

  • Priced and sold as per block (approximately 5LB)
  • Shipping fee will be applied (cheese only)
  • Immediate pickup will be required (due to the limited refrigerator space)
  • Final price will be given with the product arrival

Available varieties are:

  • Cheddar – Mild
  • Cheddar – Old
  • Cheddar – Extra Old (currently out of stock)
  • Swiss
  • Mozzarella

Each block is around 5LB and estimated for $65 +/- (plus shipping may be applied at cost).

Bear River Farms Rye Bread Available

You can order the locally made naturally fermented rye bread at the same time.

Cost:  $9.50/loaf  or $9.00 each if you purchase 2 or more
Order by: May 9 (Sunday)
Delivery/Pickup day:  Thursday May 13th (pickup in Digby or Wild Rose Farm in Weymouth – temporary delivery option available)
